AirJelly is a desktop AI agent designed to work in the background rather than wait for prompts. It watches activity across apps such as Slack, Zoom, Google Docs, Calendar and email, using each Enter key press as a trigger to capture the current screen and app context, and turns that into tasks, summaries and follow-ups automatically. It launched on Product Hunt in mid-2026, finishing #8 on the daily leaderboard with 139 upvotes.
It is currently free with no announced paid tier, available for Apple Silicon Macs and Windows x64 PCs (Linux is listed as "coming soon"). The trade-off for its proactivity is that it needs broad screen and Accessibility access to work at all - see Cons for what that means in practice.

Cons
To work at all, AirJelly needs broad access to what's on your screen, including Slack messages, documents and Zoom calls. That is a real privacy trade-off, not a minor one: you are granting an always-on agent visibility into whatever you're doing, all day.
The homepage markets AirJelly as running "entirely local" with data that "never leaves your computer," but its own privacy policy says otherwise for AI features specifically: "When you trigger an AI feature, only derived text or structured context...may be sent to an external AI provider." The site does not name which AI provider(s) receive that data. The marketing headline and the privacy policy's fine print are in real tension, and a reader relying on the "100% local" claim alone would be missing this.
No paid tier exists yet, so there is no committed business model behind it, and the site does not say what happens if or when that changes
