TrustedRouter
One API to 600+ AI models, with a privacy guarantee you can cryptographically verify.
Overview
TrustedRouter is a developer-facing AI gateway, similar in concept to OpenRouter, that puts one OpenAI-compatible endpoint in front of 600+ models from over 90 providers. What sets it apart is the privacy design: requests run through infrastructure the company says is provably "attested" - meaning the gateway publishes cryptographic evidence tying the running code to its public open-source repository, so a customer doesn't have to just take the company's word that prompts and outputs aren't logged. TrustedRouter states even its own engineers cannot read customer requests, and if attestation ever fails, the request fails rather than silently downgrading to an unverified path.
It raised a $1.25M seed round (reported by Axios, Aug 31 2026) from investors including Slow Ventures' Sam Lessin and early Zoom/Canva investor Bill Tai, and per that reporting has been in public beta since May 2026, recently processing over 1 billion tokens in a single day. Pricing is entirely usage-based: no subscription or seat fees, just provider cost plus a stated markup.
Key Features
OpenAI SDK compatible - swap in one base_url and existing code keeps working
600+ models from 90+ providers behind one API
Routing modes: auto, zdr (zero data retention), e2e (end-to-end encrypted), and eu (EU-only routing)
Multi-cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) with provider failover
Runs inside a Trusted Execution Environment and publishes attestation evidence clients can verify against the public source code
Fails closed (blocks the request) if attestation can't be verified, instead of silently falling back to a non-attested route
100% open-source: frontend, backend, gateway and SDKs
Pay-as-you-go, prepaid credits, or Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK); Stripe, PayPal or stablecoin payment
Pricing
Starting price
Usage-based - no flat tier (provider cost plus a 5.5% markup on text/embeddings, 20% on video generation; no monthly or seat fee)
No flat subscription or per-seat plan. Usage-based: you pay the underlying provider's cost plus TrustedRouter's markup - 5.5% on text and embeddings, 20% on video generation, with a $0.01-per-million-token floor on free or near-zero-cost routes. Supports prepaid credits or Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK); billing via Stripe, PayPal, or stablecoin. Teams already spending $100+/month elsewhere on LLMs can request migration credits by approval. No single "starting price" applies since cost tracks actual usage rather than a plan tier. Source: trustedrouter.com/pricing and trustedrouter.com/trust, checked 2026-09-13.
Pros
Real, checkable privacy design (attestation) rather than just a written promise - the company publishes evidence you can verify yourself, and is explicit about where that guarantee's limits are (see Cons)
No subscription or seat fees; you pay only for what you route
Broad coverage - 600+ models, 90+ providers - through one OpenAI-compatible endpoint
Fully open-source codebase, unusual for this category
Backed by a credible seed round and real usage traction (1B+ tokens/day per Axios reporting), suggesting this isn't vaporware
Cons
Attestation coverage is incomplete: the company's own trust page states there is "no measurement published for this plane yet" for its AWS and Azure infrastructure, and explicitly warns not to read that absence as proof of safety
No independent third-party security audit is referenced anywhere on the site - the verification tooling exists, but nothing outside the company has reviewed it
No affiliate or partner program found on the site
Developer/API tool only - nothing here for a non-technical user, and no free trial credits are advertised on the pricing page
Very young company (seed round closed roughly two weeks before this listing); pricing and product surface could still shift
What Makes It Unique
Most AI routing tools, including the market leader OpenRouter, ask you to trust a privacy policy. TrustedRouter's differentiation is trying to make that trust checkable: it runs inside attested infrastructure and publishes cryptographic evidence so customers can independently verify prompts aren't being logged, rather than relying on a promise.
