Superhuman

Fast, AI-assisted email now bundled into a wider productivity suite

Overview

Superhuman built its reputation as the fastest email client around, all keyboard shortcuts, split inboxes, and an interface designed to get you through your inbox in a fraction of the usual time. That core product is still the reason people sign up. What's changed is the business behind it: Grammarly acquired Superhuman for over $800 million in 2025 and then renamed the entire company Superhuman, folding in Grammarly's writing assistant, the Coda docs product, and a new proactive AI assistant called Superhuman Go under one subscription.

The practical effect for new users is that the cheap standalone email plan is gone. To get Superhuman Mail today you need the Business plan, $33 a month billed annually or $40 month to month, and you get Grammarly and Coda bundled in whether you want them or not. If you already used and liked Grammarly or Coda separately, that bundling is a genuine value add. If you just wanted a fast inbox and nothing else, you're now paying suite pricing for a single-purpose tool.

Key Features

  • Keyboard-Driven Inbox: Navigate and process email almost entirely via keyboard shortcuts for speed.

  • Split Inbox: Automatically separates important email from newsletters and noise.

  • AI Drafts: Generates draft replies and summarizes long threads.

  • Read Receipts: See when an email you sent has been opened.

  • CRM Integrations: Connects to CRM tools to keep contact and deal data in sync with your inbox.

  • Bundled Suite: Includes Grammarly's writing assistant, Coda docs and Superhuman Go across the same subscription.

Pricing

Starting price

$33/mo (billed annually)

  • Business: $33/month billed annually ($396/year), or $40/month billed monthly. Includes Superhuman Mail, Grammarly Pro, Coda and Superhuman Go.

  • Enterprise: Custom pricing, contact sales.

Disclaimer: pricing may change, confirm on Superhuman's own pricing page before buying.

Pros

  • Genuinely Fast: The keyboard-first workflow still saves real time once you learn the shortcuts.

  • Useful AI Features: AI drafts and thread summaries cut down on repetitive email writing.

  • Suite Value: Grammarly and Coda bundled in add real value if you'd pay for those tools anyway.

  • Cross-App Assistant: Superhuman Go extends AI help beyond just the inbox into other apps and tabs.

Cons

  • No Cheap Standalone Plan: New users can't get just the email client anymore, only the bundled Business suite.

  • Higher Price Than Before: The old ~$30/month Starter tier is gone; entry is now $33 to $40 a month.

  • Forced Bundling: You pay for Grammarly and Coda access even if you never use either.

  • Post-Acquisition Uncertainty: Product direction and pricing structure may keep shifting as the merged company integrates its tools.

What Makes It Unique

  • Speed-First Design: Its keyboard-driven workflow remains one of the fastest ways to process email of any mainstream client, AI features aside.
